Composite Research S.r.l. (CoRe) is an innovative SME, founded in 2015 by Eugenio Fossat, a young chemist, and Nicola Giulietti, an industrial engineer, with the support of professor Luigi Costa, at that time full professor of Chemistry at the University of Turin.
CoRe was born with the aim of developing new products based on composite materials for a wide range of industrial (B2B) and consumer (B2C) applications.
The first innovation developed and patented by core is the MadFlex, a composite material with the distinctive peculiarity of behaving like a traditional rigid sandwich panel when loaded on one side (MADly strong), while being flexible or even rollable when folded on the other side (super FLEX).
MadFlex has now reached TRL 9 and has been used for the development of several products and applications in the automotive, aerospace, aviation and healthcare sectors, and of robotics.
The first application to reach the market was the MadFlex Patch, a revolutionary repair system for pipes for transporting water and natural gas.
